High-Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) technology represents a significant advancement in diesel engine performance, offering enhanced fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and improved overall engine operation. Our comprehensive diagnostic solutions are designed to ensure that your HPCR system functions optimally, providing reliable and efficient performance for your diesel engines.

To maintain the performance and reliability of the HPCR systems, regular diagnostics are crucial. Our state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques help identify and resolve issues before they lead to significant engine problems.

This class is intended for the technician who understands Diesel Diagnostics and wants to be the “Go-To” guy for High-Pressure Common Rail Diagnostics.

class coverage:

  • The low-pressure fuel supply system and its individual components.
  • Pressure testing along with Scan-Data and electrical diagnostics.
  • Both the Vacuum type as well as the Pressure style.
  • High-Pressure injection pump’s Supply, Return, and Delivery fuel systems.
  • Along with the Hydraulic and Electrical sides of the Fuel Control Solenoid.
  • Common Rail, with its pressure sensor and Fuel-limiting valve, both require electrical testing. We will discuss the tests for determining whether a limiting valve needs replacement.
  • HPCR Fuel Injectors come in two styles, both of which are covered.
  • When diagnosing any Injector, you must test its Supply and Return fuel. In order to inject fuel both are required for the Hydraulic Coupling that takes place internally.
  • The ECMs’ electrical control of the Injector will be covered using a Scan Tool and a Digital Storage Scope (DSO).
  • The injection must be timed correctly for Power and Torque to the engine. Testing Crankshaft and Camshaft position sensors are critical for any diagnostic procedures.
  • Fuel temperature is a huge factor in the combustion process, so temperature sensors and diagnostics will be covered.
